Practice Weekend
with Sharoni Fixler + De Orrell
Friday, November 21 - Sunday, November 23
with a Teacher + Apprentices Day on Monday, November 24
“Thank you so much for an amazing weekend full of yoga! I’m so happy to have participated and I learned so much from both of you. I feel like I went as deep in 3 days as I do in week long retreats.”
restorative practice
Friday evenings restorative practice will help counter stress and increase calm by focusing on ease and restoration.
rejuvenating morning openings
Rhythmic sequences that systematically and progressively relax and awaken the whole body. Unlock the joints, create traction and remove strain and stiffness. Move toward deep calm and vibrancy.
immersive pranayama
The practice of controlling or conditioning the breath. Consists of techniques designed to gain awareness of the respiratory process while recognizing the connection between the breath, the mind and the emotions.
energizing afternoon practice
A traditional asana class that bridges and develops upon the morning’s work and includes backbends and sustained inversions.
This format asks us to meet ourselves through sustained practice, sequenced to progressively open the body through concentrated effort and awareness. In this practice weekend we aim to create daily structure, high quality Iyengar instruction and a supportive atmosphere and community.
This style of condensed practice gives time to consolidate what has been learned in technical study (classes and workshops). It helps a student break undesirable habits and establish positive ones. Through the process we face ourselves. We face challenges and we also unearth our sensitivity and our strength, our inspiration and appreciation through a committed journey.
✔find calm, recuperation + inspiration to take into your daily living
✔improve your flexibility, strength + balance
✔explore the healing aspects of the practice for injured, stiff + sore areas
✔improve your postural alignment + awareness
